MoonianPet’s dog gear guides help you choose the right collar, leash and harness for your dog. Practical advice for every breed, size and walking style.
Most dog collars come in widths between 15mm and 25mm, and that range covers the majority of dogs without any issues. A standard width works fine for a dog that walks calmly on a loose lead — when there’s no tension on the collar, width barely matters. But for dogs that pull, lunge, or wear […]

Pomeranians look larger than they are. The thick double coat — a dense undercoat topped by a long, standoff outer coat — adds considerable visual bulk to a dog that typically weighs between 1.5 and 3.5kg. This creates a specific fitting challenge: a harness that looks correctly proportioned on a Pomeranian from a distance may

Chihuahuas are the smallest recognised dog breed in the world, and their size creates fitting challenges that don’t exist for any other dog. A harness labelled “XS” is designed for a dog in the 2–5kg range — but Chihuahuas span a much wider weight range than that label suggests, from under 1kg for the smallest

Search “service dog harness” and you’ll find two very different categories of product. A small dog collar is not simply a large dog collar made narrower and shorter. The proportions change, the hardware scales differently, the fit tolerances tighten, and the consequences of a poorly fitted collar are more immediate on a small dog than on a large one. A collar that is slightly too heavy, slightly too

A traffic handle is a second loop handle positioned close to the clip end of a leash — typically 15 to 30cm from where the leash attaches to the dog. It looks like a small grab loop sewn into the leash body near the bottom, and it serves a single purpose: giving the handler a

No leash is truly chew proof. Given enough time, motivation, and unsupervised access, a determined dog can work through almost any material. The practical question for owners
